Forrest did not have address for Jenny except a post office box, but he did have her letter with the name of the little place where she said she was playin with her band, The Cracked Eggs. It was called the Hodaddy Club. He tried to walk there from the train station, but I kep getting lost, so he finally took a taxicab. It was in the afternoon and there was nobody in there but a couple of drunk guys an bout a half inch of beer on the floor from the night before. But there was a feller behind the bar say Jenny and them will be there about nine o’clock. He axed if he can wait, and the guy say, “Sure,” so he set down for five or six hours and took a load off his feet. Directly, the place begun to fill up. They was mostly college-looking kids but was dressed like geeks at a sideshow. Everybody wearing dirty blue jeans and tee shirts and all the guys had beards and wore glasses an all the girls have hair that look like a bird gonna fly out of it any second. Presently the band come out on stage an start setting up. There are three or four fellers an they has got all this huge electric stuff plugging it in everywhere. Also, he do not see Jenny Curran.
Everybody begin to cheer and yell. Then a light fall on a side of the stage an there she is— Jenny herself! She has changed from the way Forrest known her. First, she is got hair down to her back, and is wearing sunglasses inside, at night! She is dressed in blue jeans an a shirt with so many spangles on it she look like a telephone switchboard. The band start up again and Jenny begun to sing. She has grapped hole of the microphone and is dancing all aroun the stage, jumping up and down and waving her arms and tossing her hair around. Forrest was trying to understand the words to the song, but the band is playing too loud for that, beating on the drums, banging on the piano, swatting them electric guitars till it seem like the roof gonna cave in. He was thinking, what the hell is this?
After a while they take a break and so Forrest got up and tried to get through a door that go backstage. But there is a feller standing there who say he cannot come in.Anyway, after a wile, he got bored and went down a alley and round to the back of the club. There was some little steps and he sat down there and watched the rats chasing each other in the garbage. Forrest had his harmonica in his pocket, so’s to pass the time, he got it out and started to play a little. He could till hear the music from Jenny’s band, and after a while he found himself being able to play along with them, sort of using the chromatic stop to get half out of key so it would fit in with what there was playing.

Your summary is long, but I think it is because the chapter is long and not easy to read, right? Thank you for providing the clear summary for us. I really think Forrest’s love for Jenny is so pure. We can find out from your summary now and before. I really like this moive, and I will try to read this story when I have time.

Good job! I am happy I can read the amazing novel in this group for the whole semester. We all like the movie, right? We stop at a romantic scene, Jenny finally accepted Forrest’ s love and they lived together happily. I will go on to finish it in summer. Thanks for your blog.
