After the orange bowl, the Athletic Department gets Forrest’s grades for the first term, he gets a in Intermediate Light, and F in the phs-ed class. Because he even do not know the distance between goalposts on a soccer field. Coach Bryant tells him that:”I regret awfully having to tell you this, but you is done flunked out of school, and there is nothing I can do.”
He feels so bad, because he cannot play football anymore, and cannot see Jenny any more. He cannot say anything, tears begins coming to his eyes.
