Forrest Gump(Chapter 5)

After the orange bowl, the Athletic Department gets Forrest’s grades for the first term, he gets a in Intermediate Light, and F in the phs-ed class. Because he even do not know the distance between goalposts on a soccer field. Coach Bryant tells him that:”I regret awfully having to tell you this, but you is done flunked out of school, and there is nothing I can do.”

He feels so bad, because he cannot play football anymore, and cannot see Jenny any more. He cannot say anything, tears begins coming to his eyes. Then Coach put his arm around him. “Forrest, ” he said:” there has never been nobody like you ever played ball at this school, and there won’t be never again. You were very fine.” And there is little tears in Coach’s eyes.

He had to leave the University. Bubba walk with me outside the Ape Dorm, and someone should be standing there but the entire football team. He walks on home.

His mother told him should report to U.S. Army Induction Center. His mother takes him to there a few days later.
